British drama Kindling has secured a UK release deal from Signature Entertainment, it’s been revealed. The film will follow “Sid, who creates a plan to make his final summer unforgettable after receiving a terminal diagnosis. Reuniting with his childhood friends in their hometown, he gives each a category and asks them to find a memento that reflects that word and their friendship. Once they’ve gathered the items, they’ll meet at the end of the week, building a fire together to burn the items they have collected in a ritual that Sid believes will make him last forever”.

Sex Education star George Somner headlines the film as Sid, alongside Conrad Khan, Wilson Mbomio, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Rory J. Saper.

Connor O’Hara writes and directs, based on his short film Infinate, which starred George Mackay.

Kindling will be released in the UK early 2023, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
