As much as many have been sounding the death knell for physical media, that doesn’t seem to be reflected in the growing release lists of upcoming discs. In particular, our ever-evolving 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray list continues to grow, and here’s another title making its debut on the format: Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can.

From the opening titles, this is Steven Spielberg as his most playful, as he pairs Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks in a really bouncy caper. It’s an often-overlooked film when people talk about Spielberg’s work, yet it’s arguably one of his most fun.

The 4K disc release arrives in the UK on 1st December 2025, and initially, it’s a Steelbook edition we’re getting over here. If it follows the usual pattern of these things, a standard edition will be a month or two behind.

As it stands, the package comes with the movie on 4K as you’d expect, and also there’s a Blu-ray in the box as well, to carry over previous extra features. And there’s posh artwork on the case as well (as illustrated.)

The disc is available to order now, and you can pick yourself up a copy of it here.

And there’s a synopsis for the movie that’s listed, on the off chance you’re unfamiliar with it…

FOR THE FIRST TIME ON 4K ULTRA HD! Fast, funny, and incredibly entertaining, Steven Spielberg directs Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks in this stranger-than-fiction tale inspired by a true story. Frank W. Abagnale, Jr. is a brilliant young master of deception. Frank didn’t go to flight school…Frank didn’t go to medical school…Frank didn’t go to law school…because Frank’s still in high school. While he successfully passes himself off as a pilot, a lawyer and a doctor—all before his 21st birthday—an FBI agent closes in, hot on his trail.

Next up from the Spielberg catalogue on 4K disc is set to be Minority Report. It’s already listed in other territories, and we’re just waiting for the UK announcement…
