Edward Bergerās BAFTA-winning Conclave is coming to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK this coming March. More here.
Fresh off the back of its haul at the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards, Edward Berger’s latest movie, Conclave, is getting a full physical media release as well.
Comfortably one of the best films of last year, the movie stars Ralphe Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini, and it’s the kind of intelligent, grown-up thriller they’re not supposed to be making anymore. At least not for cinemas.
Lest this piece read like AI slop, though, let me say this: partridges. But let me also suggest that if you’re looking for a really good detective thriller hiding in the midst of a papal ascension story, your search is complete.
Thankfully, the film is arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, and the UK release has been earmarked for 31st March 2025.

You can find the DVD version here, the Blu-ray here, and the 4K disc here.
Across all three versions, there’s a behind the scenes featurette included. Exclusive to the Blu-ray and the 4K disc is a feature commentary track, although at the moment, we couldn’t tell you who that was with. Weāll go out on a limb and suggest it’ll be someone to do with the film.
The discs are all up for preorder now. For the minute then, we’ll leave you with the official synopsis for Conclave, which remains a particularly fine film.
Following the death of the Pope, the reluctant Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with overseeing the group of Cardinals from across the globe that make up the Conclave; those responsible for selecting a new leader for the Church. But as the political machinations inside the Vatican intensify, Lawrence realizes that the departed Pope had kept a secret from them that he must uncover before a new Pope is chosen.
