Just sneaking in before the end of the year to celebrate its 35th birthday is Edward Scissorhands. Regarding by some as Tim Burton’s masterpiece, and there’s certainly an argument too that it features Danny Elfman’s best score, the film was the one Burton made between the pressures of 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns.
Johnny Depp of course takes the title role, alongside Dianne Wiest and Winona Ryder. And for its anniversary, the film has been remastered in 4K ahead of its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut.
The film will be arriving on the 4K disc format on 3rd November 2025 in the UK it’s now been confirmed too. It’s just gone up for preorder now, and you can find the listing for it – and pick up a copy – right here.
We’re getting to the point where virtually every pre-2005 Tim Burton film is available on 4K disc, with the current exceptions of Mars Attacks!, Ed Wood and Planet Of The Apes.
As for Edward Scissorhands, which was his fourth feature, the disc carries across commentary tracks from Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, as well as a featurette on the movie.
