What are you doing with your eyes right now? Using them for stuff? Cool, cool. Just checking, because if you watch the new footage of Doom Eternalā€™s Nightmare mode below, theyā€™re likely to melt right out of your face, and you deserve a heads up.
The new Nightmare mode gameplay comes courtesy of YouTuber TheSpudHunter, who certainly seems to be a lot calmer than weā€™d be while playing Doom Eternal like this. Weā€™d probably opt for an ā€˜endless screamingā€™ vibe tbh.

Meanwhile, Doom Eternal EP Marty Stratton has been chatting to Official Xbox Magazine about id Softwareā€™s post-launch plans.

ā€œWe see hundreds and hundreds of thousand players continuing to play Doom 2016, and we’ve got nothing (for them),ā€ Stratton said (via PC Gamer). ā€œThey’ve asked for more DLC, they’ve asked for more ways to play, and honestly we got straight into the development of Doom Eternal and haven’t given them anything.

ā€œSo I’m really excited about things like Master Levels and the DLC that we have, new challenges that we’ll be offering on a monthly or weekly basis, we’ll be continuing to support Battle Mode, adding Invasion, we’ve got so much that we want to do post-launch, really giving players what they’ve been asking us for, coming back for more of the game, and giving them some more variety in that experience.ā€
