Aaron Taylor-Johnson will soon run around as Kraven The Hunter in your living room as the supervillain origin story heads to DVD and Blu-ray. More details below.
Supervillain origin stories are all the rage these days and Sony really are making the most of their Spider-Man rights. Aaron Taylor-Johnson played Kraven The Hunter in the eponymous film, directed by JC Chandor, which premiered in December.
The superhero action thriller is now available on digital, but if you’re hankering for a physical version, we’ve got great news. Kraven The Hunter will be coming to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray on 31st March.
You can pre-order it here, if you’d like.
The listing doesn’t mention any special features, but we’re hoping to be proved wrong on that front.
Here’s the synopsis:
Kraven the Hunter is the action-packed, standalone story of how one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.
Our very own Simon Brew recently caught up with Chandor to chat about Kraven The Hunter as well as his previous films, including the Oscar-nominated but slightly forgotten financial thriller, Margin Call.
