Tom Cruise invades your living room, as Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning heads to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K disc in the UK.
Theoretically Tom Cruise’s swansong as Ethan Hunt and his farewell from the Mission: Impossible franchise, this summer’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was also greeted by a mixed critical reception. The cumbersome first hour in particular was an odd choice for a series that’s always had a fair degree of momentum to it.
Still, the movie recovers, and the box office returns of nearly $600m were a very slight improvement on its (superior) predecessor. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning now sets off on its journey to home formats, and its future life living in boxsets, and giving home cinema rigs a proper workout.
And – hurray! – it’s getting a full physical media release too. Now you can relive the scene where Tom Cruise watches highlights from his previous movies on a VHS tape, on a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc. Perfect.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK on 13th October 2025, then, and retailers are happy to take your money for it right now.
You can already order the DVD here.
The Blu-ray is here.
And the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray right here.
A Steelbook 4K edition is here too.
No extra features have thus far been confirmed for the release, but we can but hope that we get some decent stuff on there. That said, surely in the future we’re looking at a complete box set of all of these films, with a whole bunch of definitive features in there. No announcements or anything have been made, but surely someone’s at least thinking about it.
The digital release, incidentally, has been set in the UK for 18th August 2025.
