Another Jason Statham action thriller, Mutiny ā this one from the director of Plane ā has its US release set for January 2026.
Jason Statham, whose action output appears to be increasing over time, is currently shooting an untitled thriller somewhere in the UK or Ireland as these words are being typed. Meanwhile, an action thriller he shot in the autumn of 2024, Mutiny, now has a US release date ā 9th January 2026.
Mutiny is the work of French director Jean-François Richet, who previously brought us the robust Gerard Butler thriller, Plane, which happens to include one of the most unfortunately-named fictional airline companies in film history.
According to Deadline, Statham will star as one Cole Reed, a private security specialist whoās framed for the murder of his billionaire boss. It sort of sounds a bit like 1993ās The Fugitive, though we suspect Stathamās Cole will break more jaws and ribs than Harrison Ford did as Richard Kimble.
Distributed in the US by Lionsgate, Mutinyās UK release is being handled by Sky Cinema, which previously put out Stathamās buzzy 2024 action thriller, The Beekeeper. That film got a UK cinema release before appearing on Skyās TV service, so we can probably expect a similar approach for Mutiny.

In other Statham news, A Working Man, the actorās second collaboration with director David Ayer after The Beekeeper, is scheduled to appear in UK cinemas from the 28th March. Written by Sylvester Stallone, itās about a construction worker and former black ops agent on the search for his bossās teenage daughter whoās been Taken by human traffickers. In one scene, Statham wears a hard hat and attacks a man with a bucket. Pure cinema.
As for the untitled film Stathamās currently shooting, itās headed up by Ric Roman Waugh, director of another hairy-chested Gerard Butler thriller, Greenland. Like A Working Man, this next Statham opus is produced by Black Bear (Longlegs, The Monkey), and will be about a man named Mason who rescues a little girl from a raging storm and is āpulled towards the ghosts of his violent past.ā
