A wise man once said that life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. But as the kids say nowadays …ain’t nobody got time for that.

Grosse Point Blanc

French musician Grégoire Blanc is the kind of person who started playing instruments when he was four years old and is now proficient with about nine trillion of them. He’s also a little weird, which is very appealing.

Have you ever been standing around musing on the whys and wherefores of human existence and suddenly thought “what if I put gum on my piano strings and play the music from Civilization IV?” No. But Grégoire clearly has. Godspeed, sir. Godspeed.

Hair Today, Hair Tomorrow

If you’re a big fan of graphics getting insanely good (and who isn’t) you may be interested in the latest strides in hair rendering. Electronic Arts and DICE have just released some new next-gen hair rendering vids featuring techniques that use the Frostbite Engine. You can check one of them out below, but the rest are here for your viewing pleasure.

Buttery Biscuit Bass

Puzzle rhythm game Vectronom, from Arte Studio, will be out on 29th May for PC and Switch, and we can already sense that this is going to be extremely addictive. It really looks like one of those games you’ll still be playing in your head after you’ve turned it off.

Watch the launch trailer below and prepare to enter your own personal Aronofsky montage:

Drive By

A fresh Grid is on the way from Codemasters. 19th September will see the arrival of a new iteration in the decent racing series. Formula One champ Fernando Alonso was a consultant on this one, and will make an appearance in it, too.

Ghost Ship

As expected, Supermassive revealed a release date for Man Of Medan this week – 30th August. The forthcoming horror game appears somewhat similar-ish to the studio’s previous hit title, Until Dawn, but is the first in a planned anthology series line that starts with this disturbing …adventure. We were about to use the word ‘swashbuckling’ there, but that feels too cheery.

Issue #13 of Wireframe is on sale now
