4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases of both Practical Magic and Interview With The Vampire are incoming from Warner Bros.
Amidst a bit of a year for Warner Bros, one thing very much to the company’s credit is its ongoing commitment to physical media, and the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. In sharp contrast to Disney, which gutted its home entertainment department in its last round of lay-offs, Warner Bros appears to be doubling down, with more new releases incoming.
This time, the studio is lining up both Practical Magic and Interview With The Vampire for their 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debuts later this year.
This follows – as you can see on our 4K release list – titles such as Mars Attacks! and Eraser, that have been previously announced. More are expected before the end of the year, too, with rumours of a Roger Moore James Bond collection.
Specific to the two latest reveals, neither have firm release dates as of yet, but they’ve both gone up for preorder. It’s, inevitably, the premium-priced Steelbooks that are arriving first, with regular releases set to follow shortly afterwards.
Our best guess is they’ll be in your hands – assuming you’ve paid for them – by late summer.
Practical Magic isn’t much of a surprise, given that the sequel will be in cinemas this autumn. You can find it up for preorder right here.
Interview With The Vampire’s listing, meanwhile, can be found right here.
No obvious reason why this has been picked, save for it’s got Tom Cruise in it, and it always tends to be a popular release when it gets plucked for a fresh physical media outing.
More news on more 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases as we get them. Sales of the format remain on the up, and given the fickleness of many streaming services, long may discs continues to exist.
