Want some snacks to go with your upcoming Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom playthrough? Thereās good news ā though you may need a plane ticket to Japanā¦
If you love snacks as well as epic, open-world fantasy games, then youāre in for a treat. Nintendo has announced a tasty collaboration with Japanese convenience store, Lawsons ā think of it as like Tesco Express, but with much nicer stuff to choose from for your lunch.
As reported by Famitsu (and translated by Google, so bear with us on that front), The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is getting its own limited edition menu, which will be available from branches of Lawsons from 9 May.

So whatās on the menu?
Well, first we have Goron-themed, curry-flavoured onigiri ā those delicious triangles of rice that are as common in Japan as sandwiches are in the UK. It is, according to Famutsu, āA dry curry rice ball made with multiple spices inspired by Goronās secret spice. You can enjoy the complex spice flavour and just the right amount of spiciness.ā
Next up, thereās the Mighty Banana milkshake ā inspired by the same strength-giving bananas last seen in Breath of the Wild. (In Japan theyāre called Tsurugi Bananas, hence the name on the packaging above.)
If thatās not enough, thereās the Max Truffle Fragrant Mushroom Focaccia ā a tasty-sounding bread that, weāre told, has āa fun texture.ā
Then thereās a curry bread filled with bits of diced pork, a rice pot topped with salmon flakes, and a box of kara-age ā thatās crispy fried chicken ā inspired by one of Breath of the Wild's warming recipes.
Buying three items will earn the purchaser another promotional item ā one of four Tears of the Kingdom-themed clear files (the sort you can use to keep your homework or gas bills tidy) or one of three themed cloths for wiping your Nintendo Switch screen.
