Propstore auctions are always a special time for film fans. It’s a rare opportunity to find and acquire items and memorabilia from your favourite films. Who wouldn’t want to add a xenomorph foot lamp to their living room to add a bit of Alien ambience to their evenings?

Propstore’s latest, on-going auction got off to an impressive start on Friday (4th September) with its first day concluding with the sale of Darth Vader’s Hero Lightsaber. The weapon was used in The Empire Strikes Back and The Return Of The Jedi and sold for a head-spinning $3.65m, or £2.7m.

Other items sold on the first day included Indiana Jones’ bullwhip from Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade (sale price: $485,100, or £360,260) and Tobey Maguire’s costume from Spider-Man 2 ($289,800, or £215,190).

The current auction, which ends today, also has an array of Star Trek memorabilia up for auction.

You can bid on some of Leonard Nimoy’s personal scripts from Star Trek, the TV series. Up for grabs are scripts for episodes Space Seed and The Lights Of Zetar. Both have notes scribbled by Nimoy and the latter also includes a poem written by the late actor.

There’s also a Klingon mask from Star Trek IV: The Undiscovered Country. The actors playing Klingons often had to go through extensive make-up procedures to get the right look, but the mask up for auction was used in a scene that required dozens of extras to play Klingons and make-up simply wasn’t an option.

From Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan, artist Robert Fletcher’s character concepts are also among the items being auctioned off. These are all hand-drawn and hand-painted.

You can’t necessarily be beamed up by Scotty, but you can bid on his Starfleet tunic here. It was worn by Simon Pegg in JJ Abrams’ 2009 reboot of Star Trek.

The other item from the newer Star Trek films is Jaylah’s Staff and Knife from Justin Lin’s 2016 sequel, Star Trek Beyond.

The Propstore auction catalogue has hundreds more memorabilia items to explore, so head over to their website to find those.
