The sequel to 2017 horror Ready or Not is finally heading towards production, original directors Radio Silence and star Samara Weaving will return.
Despite the busy schedule of Radio Silence and the original filmās star, Samara Weaving, there have been talks about a sequel to Ready Or Not for several years. According to Deadline, Radio Silence have confirmed the sequel is happening and production will begin soon.
Weaving will return as Grace, and the actor said recently of the sequel, āI’m all in. I think we’re all in, I don’t know. I think we’re all in…I don’t know if we’ve had our blood handshake, but pretty much. We’ve done the spit handshake, but we haven’t cut each other’s hands and rubbed our blood togetherā.
Directorial duo Radio Silence ā Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett ā have built up a hugely successful filmography over the last few years.
Beginning with a segment of anthology film V/H/S in 2012, they made their feature debut with supernatural horror Devilās Due in 2014 before another foray into the horror anthology with 2015ās Southbound.

It was 2019ās Ready Or Not that really put them on the map. A horror film stripped back to the bare essentials ā a lone woman, an evil family and blood. Lots and lots of blood. The plot follows Grace (Samara Weaving), who is meeting her fianceās family for the first time. They reveal that she will be partaking in one of their traditional games, in which Grace must evade capture and fight for her life.
The critical and commercial success of the horror comedy Ready Or Not led to director duo Radio Silence directing the fifth and sixth instalments of the Scream franchise. After a series of problems rocked that latter franchise, the filmmakers will not be directing Scream 7, original Scream writer Kevin Williamson will helm the film.
