As joyful a time as I’ve had at the cinema in 2026 thus far, Sam Raimi’s return to somewhere near his roots – Send Help – united Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien in a terrific two hander. Funny, bloody, splattery… ah, I don’t want to spoil it for you, and there’s a review down at the bottom there. It just feels like the kind of film that can be banked on for continual rewatches.
Thankfully, on top of Send Help’s digital release, it’s getting a full physical media outing too. That means a DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc, all of which land in the UK on 4th May 2026.

Happily, it looks like we’re getting a fair amount of extra features on the disc too, with a couple of hours of supplements promised. It’s almost like the old days! In this particular case there’s a blooper reel, deleted scenes, a look at the construction of, er, ‘one particular scene’ and a few more behind the scenes featurettes. Plus! Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi have recorded any audio commentary as well. Lovely stuff.

One last order of business: the synopsis.
When two business colleagues (Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien) become stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors of a plane crash, they must overcome past grievances and work together to stay alive. But they’re not in the office anymore, and an unsettling, wryly humorous battle of wills and wits begins in this original, darkly comedic psychological thriller.
