Every few years āsomething hugeā is teased for the world of Twin Peaks, and us fans usually get inexplicably excited about it. Moreso in recent times, because one of those random teases ended up being a new series of Twin Peaks ā¦and it was glorious. Mainly, though, it turns out to be a new Blu-ray, interview or book that promises to āsolve the mystery of Twin Peaks once and for allā. Said curio usually then just leads to more questions that have no answers ā¦and we love it. We canāt get enough of being confused, itās our drug of choice.
Coming up for us Peakies (or Peakers, or Tweakies if you prefer) is a VR game set in David Lynchās bizarre universe of twisted Americana from Collider Games, Showtime and Lynch himself.
Honestly? It kinda just looks like you can stroll around locations from the series, such as the Twin Peaks Sheriffās Department and the Red Room, picking up bits and BOBs to solve a mini mystery. This will likely be of absolutely zero interest to non-Twin Peaks fans, but some of the hardcore base with VR access will probably want to have a go on it.

If youāve read this far, Iād like to share a personal story with you about the time I covered the Twin Peaks UK Festival. I was wandering around taking pictures and eating way too many free donuts, getting fatter by the second, and I ran into someone cosplaying as that soft green glove boi Freddie Sykes from Twin Peaks The Return. āAmazing,ā I said, as I dragged him in for a quick pic. āYou look just like him.ā
Hours passed before I realised it was actually him. Jake Wardle. Diablo IV voiceman Jake Wardle. I cringe every time I think about it.
Take care of yourself and have a good week.
