Actor Warwick Davis has shared a behind-the-scenes photo from Willow, which was deleted from Disney+ last year. And he’s not very happy about it either.
Disney+ started deleting its own content in 2023. A lot of great films and TV shows were axed and aren’t available anywhere else, which feels thoroughly unfair for the people involved in the making of them.
One of the shows that was deleted was the TV sequel of Willow, carrying its predecessor’s title. Warwick Davis reprised his role as Willow Ufgood in the series, which garnered mostly positive reviews from critics, but that wasn’t enough to save it.
Now, over a year after the series became unavailable, Davis has posted a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Willow on X (formerly known as Twitter) and also took a swing at Disney.
“It’s a travesty that @DisneyPlus value shareholders over subscribers in their creative decision-making,” Davis wrote on the social media platform.
We can’t say that we completely disagree with Davis’ words. Disney deleting its own series and films is a huge blow for the entire industry and sets a dangerous precedent.

Davis’ post comes in the same week as Disney CFO Hugh Johnston said their password crackdown was going swimmingly and more price rises were likely on the horizon.
