The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is to get a 10 minute gameplay video hosted by producer Eiji Aonuma, Nintendo has announced.
Thereās just a few weeks to go until Breath of the Wild sequel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes out. And to keep the anticipation furnace stoked, Nintendo is set to show off approximately ten minutes of footage from the game tomorrow, on 28 March.
The footage will be hosted by Eiji Aonuma, whoās worked on the Zelda series in some capacity since 1998 ā back then, he was director and dungeon designer on the seminal Ocarina of Time, and has served as producer or supervisor on every entry since.
Taking its cue from Majoraās Mask, Nintendoās 2000 follow-up to Ocarina of Time, Tears of the Kingdom is shaping up to be a darker companion piece to 2017ās Breath of the Wild. Its flying islands and flight, meanwhile, feel like a conscious nod to Skyward Sword, a somewhat divisive entry that got a HD remaster in 2021.
Join The Legend of #Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, for roughly 10 minutes of gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: #TearsOfTheKingdom on 3/28 at 7:00 a.m. PT on our YouTube channel.

Nintendoās gameplay showcase is scheduled to begin on 28 March at 7.00am Pacific Time ā thatās 10.00am Eastern Time, or if youāre in the UK, 15.00pm. Youāll be able to watch the footage over on Nintendoās YouTube channel.
Weāre intrigued to see how Nintendo shakes up the open-world formula it established so memorably in Breath of the Wild, particularly given flight is now going to feature so heavily. Nor do we know exactly how Linkās blackened arm ā something weāve seen repeatedly since Tears of the Kingdom was first revealed ā will function in the game. Maybe weāll get clearer answers to all that in tomorrowās gameplay footage. At the very least, we hope weāll get to hear Breath of the Wildās catchy cooking melody again.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on 12 May 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
