Square up to this week’s film quiz, featuring 30 film-related questions and some pitches for Godzilla X Kong-size movie title fights.
Movies used to have proper titles, like 2021’s Godzilla Vs Kong. Now its sequel, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, has forgotten the immortal words of Ken Watanabe’s Dr Serizawa in the 2014 Monsterverse-starter Godzilla, and it’s shoved some sort of smoochy noise or Family Fortunes wrong answer klaxon in there instead. This is unacceptable!
But rather than let it ruin our long weekend, we’ve done our bit for the balance of cinema in this week’s film quiz by replacing the word “And” with “Versus” in TEN other movie titles and called that round two. On either side of this silliness, there’s the usual movie trivia, with subjects including comedy sequels, horror franchises and fictional royalty.

ROUND ONE – This Week In Movie History
This round is about UK cinema releases and general film history from this week in years past – we’ve given you the year at the start of each question to help out!

ROUND TWO – Versus Mode
Next, an unnecessarily combative round – all of these phoney plot synopses are for films where the word “And” has been replaced by “Versus” in their titles, and you’ve got to name those movies.
