Ray Fisher speaks out following support from Buffy alumni

Ray Fisher, who played Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League, has fired another broadside at WarnerMedia following last week’s Buffy allegations. Following the wave of support and shared testimonies on social media that supported Ray Fisher in his claims against ‘gross and abusive’ practices on the set of 2017’s Justice League, the actor has taken to Twitter once more. Several Buffy stars lit up social media last week, condemning Joss Whedon’s alleged behaviour whilst they worked with him. Fisher’s allegations, it seems, have been vindicated. Up until this point, Ray Fisher has been flying pretty much solo in his battle to bring Joss Whedon and others to account for what he alleges was ‘gross and abusive’ behaviour on the set of Justice League. Whilst some co-stars such as Jason Momoa have occasionally Tweeted support, others have remained silent. In the last week however, support for Fisher has finally been forthcoming. Some members of the beloved Buffy The Vampire Slayer cast took to social media to also speak out, including Charisma Carpenter accusing Whedon of being ‘the real vampire’ on the show, alleging bullying and abusive behaviour. None of these allegations have been tested in court, we should add, and Whedon has not yet commented on them. As you might expect, Fisher has responded to this support by doubling down on his comments. Here’s his latest Tweet…

Whilst WarnerMedia has already investigated Fisher’s claims and have taken ‘remedial action’, there seems to be an increasing groundswell of support for Fisher that is growing rather than going away. The matter is steadily developing into something of a PR nightmare for the company, and with Fisher now openly goading it on social media, inviting it to sue him, this might just run and run for a while.
