Looks like UK folks will have to wait a while for We Live In Time, as StudioCanal dates it for January 2025.
When the We Live In Time trailer launched earlier in July with an October release date announced in the US, we were convinced we wouldn’t have to wait for the Andrew Garfield-Florence Pugh romance for too long.
Well, it seems that we were very wrong. StudioCanal has announced today that We Live In Time will be released in UK cinemas on 1st January, 2025. The film will be in US cinemas 11th October, for comparison.
We Live In Time is still poised for a potential London Film Festival debut, but we don’t want to speculate too much (our track record isnāt great, it seems). The film will have its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Here’s the synopsis, in italics and all: Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Andrew Garfield) are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken, in filmmaker John Crowley’s decade-spanning, deeply moving romance.
John Crowley, who also directed the wonderfully affecting Brooklyn, is on directing duties while Nick Payne wrote the script. Pugh and Garfield are joined by Grace Delaney, Aoife Hinds and Lee Braithwaite in the cast.
You can catch We Live In Time in UK cinemas from 1st January, 2025.
