British movie podcast of the week: We Have A Hulk

We highlight another British movie podcast well worth your time: this time, with a Hulk.

It was Shazam! star Zachary Levi’s hit comedy TV show Chuck that first brought Nicola and Chris – the people behind our podcast choices this week – together. They met and started chatting at a Starfury convention called T2 back in 2010.

Their love of other podcasts inspired them to set up We Have a Hulk three years ago, as a creative outlet to share their passions and since then they’ve gone from strength to strength with over 120 episodes covering a variety of genres, themes and topics.

Each episode is jam packed full of honest, thoughtful and funny discussion. Nicola and Chris, with their shared love of all things comic book, sci-fi and general nerd and pop culture, never fail to deliver on engaging commentary, reviews, interviews and content that always feels professional and high quality, and their effortless chemistry with each other shines through. They regularly run competitions and giveaways on social media, and clearly thrive on interacting with listeners and fellow podcasters.

Nicola and Chris regularly have industry guest interviews on their episodes, with stars of both the small and big screen featured, with Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s James Marsters topping Nicola’s list as her personal favourite. They’ve attended a multitude of conventions and events over their three years of existence and this year they attended New York Comic Con and the London premiere of the aforementioned Shazam!, amongst others.

We Have a Hulk pride themselves on being not just a podcast, but an all-encompassing and enthusiastic TV, Film and Comic Book community. It’s a Hulk-sized podcast with the charm, knowledge and intelligence of Bruce Banner. In fact, you could say they’ve smashed it!
