Barbie vs Oppenheimer at the UK box office

We come to it at last, the great box-office battle of our time! This week’s film quiz is themed around new releases Barbie and Oppenheimer.

It’s not every week you get two massive movies opening on the same day, but the year-long hype around Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is even rarer. Whether you’re going for “Barbenheimer” (Barbie then Oppenheimer) or “Atomic Blonde” (Oppenheimer then Barbie), the double-bill treatment almost seems mandatory.

Here on the site, you can read Lauren’s Barbie review and Ryan’s Oppenheimer review, and now, Film Quiz Friday is breaking with its usual format with rounds loosely themed on both movies. And afterwards, it’s going on a summer break, but don’t panic, quizness will resume on Friday 1st September, when the shocking pink mushroom cloud has cleared.

Once you’ve completed all three rounds, you’ll find a link to a separate post with the correct answers at the bottom of this post. As always, this is just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 30 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback. Have a great summer, and remember – Barbie is everything, Oppenheimer is just Ken… but which Ken?
