This week’s film quiz has a taste for the theatrical. 30 movie-related questions, some of them about movies based on stage musicals…

Don’t tell anyone, but the 2024 versions of Mean Girls and The Color Purple are musicals. We’ve written elsewhere on the site about the odd marketing tactics that hide this, but full disclosure, this week’s film quiz has questions about both musical and non-musical films. Since the enormous success of original musicals La La Land and The Greatest Showman a few years ago, Hollywood has gone back to adaptations, and so have we, in Round 2.

Once you’ve completed all three rounds, you’ll find a link to a separate post with the correct answers at the bottom of this post. As always, this is all just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 31 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback. Here we go, once more with feeling…!
