Like Disney franchise-crasher Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, this week’s film quiz takes the movie title mashup game to the House of Mouse.
Like the 2002 original, 2025’s Lilo & Stitch’s marketing sees the titular alien critter crash various Disney properties, adjusted for the inflation of the company to encompass Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox. Less in tribute to that but in anticipation of the Cloud Atlas future where humans call movies “Disneys”, we’ve assembled one of our occasional movie mashup title games that still aren’t anything like Richard Osman’s House Of Games, we’ve never even heard of it, shut up.
In round two, we’ve got 10 phoney movie synopses that come from smashing a Disney animated movie title into another movie title. So, for instance, “A group of medical students fight Nazi zombies and shack up with a runaway princess” might be Dead Snow White. We wouldn’t go with “Cate Blanchett has an inappropriate relationship with a man raised by apes” for Tárzan cos that would just be adding an accent to the Disney film – they’ve gotta join up in the middle.
We’ll do the loglines and you tell us the titles – simple as that! Once you’ve completed this week’s quiz, you’ll find a link to a separate post with the correct answers at the bottom of this post. As always, this is just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 31 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback.
