Film Quiz Friday | The Final Friday

In this week’s film quiz, a letter from the quizmaster, 30 new movie-related questions about Hollywood endings, and that’s a wrap!

May has been a pretty final sort of month for movies, between Final Destination: Bloodlines and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. And to borrow a catchphrase from another quiz, I’ve started so I’ll finish.

Film Quiz Friday started during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. I was working from home and then furloughed, at a bit of a loose end, and looking for something to keep myself sane/occupied, starting with 30 questions a week. Five years on, I’ve written somewhere in the region of 7,000 (mostly) new questions and some tortuous pun titles. And today’s film quiz will be my last regular edition for the moment.

There are big, brilliant non-quizmastery things that have prompted a break, and hopefully, that’s all this is. When the weekly Film Stories quiz returns, it will be in a new form that we hope to tell you more about soon. For now though, I’m hitting pause, and saying a massive thank you to everyone who’s played along, commented, and corrected me (bastards, how dare you) over the last five years.

So, let’s do this one more time! Once you’ve completed all 30 questions, you’ll find a link to a separate post with the correct answers at the bottom of this post. As always, this is just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 30 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback. So, to the regulars who play early every Friday, good morning – and in case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

Cheers,

Mark
