This week’s film quiz is more than meets the eye, with questions about Transformers and other movies based on toys and games.
American toy developer Bernard Loomis reportedly coined the term “toyetic” in 1969, when pitching a Hot Wheels show to promote the Mattel toys of the same name. 55 years on, we’ve come to think of it as a dirty word for toy companies’ involvement in the pre-production of movies. Whether you think these movies and TV shows are any more or less than toy adverts, the UK cinema release of Transformers One gives us a handy theme this week!
As always, our weekly film quiz is just for fun, but please let us know how you did in the comments (scores out of 30 this week!) and give us any other lovely feedback. Correct answers are sold separately. Well, they’re included in another post that we’ve linked at the end, anyway…
