In the US, Tom Holland’s first solo outing as Spider-Man hasn’t drawn much attention on its second run in cinemas, as reported by Collider. Spider-Man 2, respectively, ended up being the second most watched film in cinemas on its re-release weekend in April, only behind Alex Garland’s acclaimed Civil War.
The re-releases appeal to our sense of nostalgia and arguably, Holland’s films lack that, having been released so recently. Furthermore, the director of the original trilogy, Sam Raimi, has been in the news again after speculations that he might be directing the fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man film.
Tickets for the UK cinema re-releases for all Spider-Man films are now on sale.
