Anchorman heads to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time, to mark the 20th anniversary of the film. More on the release here.

A very happy 20th anniversary to Ron Burgundy and the Channel 4 news team in San Diego, with the news that Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy is celebrating its birthday. The 2004 movie, that starred Will Ferrell, Steve Carell (“loud noises”), Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and David Koechner, remains a firm favourite, and gave Oscar-winning filmmaker Adam McKay his first hit as director too. The mighty Step Brothers wasn’t far behind.

Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy is now making its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut with a deluxe physical media set that’s landing on 5th August 2024.

The new set includes a 4K disc and two Blu-rays in the box. That gets you the original film and presumably – as well as a lot of extras – the second film made up of leftover material from the first (Wake Up, Ron Burgundy). No confirmation of that though, so don’t hold us to it.

What you definitely get in the new set are five art cards, five character cards, a Channel 4 news sticker and The Many Months Of Ron Burgundy booklet. All on top of the discs themselves.
