Anjelica Huston will reprise her role from the third John Wick film in the upcoming spin-off movie, Ballerina.
The John Wick universe continues to expand with the series’ first spin-off, Ballerina, entering production in Prague last week. Furthermore, John Wick: Chapter 4 is on the way and will arrive in March. There’s also the TV series prequel spin-off, The Continental which will be airing on Amazon Prime Video here in the UK.
Ballerina is the spin-off movie though, and that will star Ana de Armas and feature appearances in some capacity from series regulars Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane. Promising Young Woman‘s Emerald Fennell has co-written the script which is being directed by Len Wiseman.
We’ve now learned that Anjelica Huston will also be returning to reprise her small but memorable role as The Director from John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum as well. Lionsgate has formally announced the news.
Huston is never less than excellent (and her memoir is great too, if you’re looking for something to read) and we’re keen to see what she does with what will presumably be a meatier role this time around.
This one continues to be project to watch although there’s no scheduled release date as yet. We’ll let you know more on this project as we hear it.
