Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which has become Warner Bros highest grossing film ever, is being released digitally on 12th September.

It’s had a long and extremely successful run in cinemas, but now the Margot Robbie-starring blockbuster Barbie is heading to digital platforms. The film has collected various accolades – it’s Warner Bros highest grossing film ever, the highest grossing film of 2023 (so far) and the highest earning film to ever come from a solo female director.

After all that, Barbie is coming to digital platforms on 12th September for premium ownership and rental.

Gerwig’s movie sees Robbie’s Barbie venture outside of the matriarchal Barbieland after having an existential crisis. She’s accompanied by Ryan Gosling’s Ken, and along the way meets Mattel employee Gloria (America Ferrera). Also starring in the film are Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Michael Cera and Emma Mackey.

The film coming to digital platforms is an excellent opportunity for those who haven’t seen it yet. Although it may also hamper what remains of its incredibly successful release in cinemas.

If you like to physically own your films, the Blu-ray release is not too far away either. According to Amazon, that’s set to come out on 31st December this year.

We were big fans of Gerwig’s very pink summer blockbuster, and we can’t wait to watch it again.
