Charade, The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Ascent are all getting very special Blu-ray releases next February – details here.
A trio of new titles have been announced for the UK arm of The Criterion Collection, with the new Blu-rays going on sale this coming February.
Things kick off on February 15th with the 1977 Russian movie The Ascent, a film I confess to not knowing an awful lot about. It’s the final feature from Larisa Shepitko, a war movie following two partisans heading out for supplies in Nazi-occupied Belarus during World War II. You can find out more about that one here.

The terrific Charade is next on February 22nd. This one brings together Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant in a comedy thriller from director Stanley Donen. It’s a film regarded as one of the best Hitchcock movies that Hitchcock never made, and you can find out more about the release here.
—
And then also on February 22nd comes a deluxe version of Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. Headlined by Ralph Fiennes, this beautiful movie is also very funny, and a whole lot of fun. More information on this one right here.

All of the discs are, as you’d expect from Criterion, extras-packed too.
