The full trailer has released for Disney’s meta take on the beloved 1990s cartoon Chip n’ Dale.

Disney hasn’t given away much in the way of news at this year’s CinemaCon (well, outside of Avatar 2's name), but it has released something that is arguably far more valuable… a full trailer for Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers.

The meta-reworking of the 1990s cartoon looks like a brilliant Who Framed Roger Rabbit-style take on the classic cartoon characters: Chip and Dale are real-life (chipmunk) actors, are now washed-up celebrities in need of a reboot. The newly-released trailer follows on from the glimpse we got a couple of months back, demonstrating that the film looks like it’s going to have lots of fun with this idea.

Talented comedians lead the way here with Andy Samberg starring as Dale alongside John Mulaney playing Chip.

Director Akiva Schaffer also has some great comedic chops. Also joining the fun are Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons and Chris Parnell.

The film premieres on May 20th on the Disney+ service and you can bet we’ll see you there. In the meantime, you can catch the trailer below.
