The hugely-anticipated Dune will be arriving in UK cinemas this autumn – and it looks like it’s getting a full big screen roll-out too.
There’s still a little bit of doubt regarding the plans for Denis Villeneuve’s eagerly-anticipated movie of Frank Herbert’s Dune. It’s being distributed by Warner Bros of course, and was one of the titles caught up in the announcement that the studio was sending its entire 2021 slate to day-and-date to its HBO Max streaming service.
However, there’s been some pushback against that, and the exact fate of Dune in the US is unclear. In the UK? Well, it’s much more straightforward.
The film now sits on the UK cinema release schedule on Friday 17th September 2021, and the plan is very much to give it a wide theatrical bow over here. We’d be hugely surprised if its release was mirrored on video on demand services at the same time too.
More on the film as we hear it. Genuinely: can’t wait for this one.
