Riz Ahmed and director Michael Pearce are already notching up acclaim for upcoming sci-fi Encounter: here’s the trailer.
The mighty Riz Ahmed is back in the world of science fiction for his upcoming movie Encounter. It’s a film that also just happens to come from the director the quite wonderful Beast, Michael Pearce.
Ahmed leads an impressive ensemble, playing a marine on a rescue mission. This time though he’s trying to save his sons from the threat of aliens. Working from a screenplay by Pearce and Joe Barton, the cast also includes Octavia Spencer, Aditya Geddada, Lucian-River Chauhan and Rory Cochrane. Here’st he
The film lands in December, with Amazon Prime Video picking up the rights to it. It’s likely to give it a week in cinemas before setting it on its streaming service though. More on the movie as we hear it.
