Evil Dead Rise has already cleaned up at the box office – and it’s heading to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in July.
With over $100m in its coffers globally, and lots of positive reviews too, the return of the Evil Dead saga with Evil Dead Rise has gone really rather well. Written and directed by Lee Cronin, the new movie has been a hit both in the US and the UK, and it’s now set to enjoy a fair amount of replay value as its home release gets underway.
Firstly, it’s coming to video on demand, with a premium-priced digital rental available from June 5th. Then it’s onto the more traditional video on demand for rent services, with the digital download popping up on July 14th.
And for fans of physical media, which very much includes us, then the disc release is from July 17th.
Your options for the disc release are DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and a limited edition Steelbook release. Each comes with an audio commentary from Lee Cronin, and Cronin’s earlier short film, Ghost Train.
You can find the Blu-ray here, and the 4K edition here.
