“The bar was high for lovers of this iconic video game and so far we seem to have exceeded their expectations, while bringing in millions of new fans to the franchise,ā said Amazon MGM Studios boss Jennifer Salke, in a statement to Variety weāve edited for brevity. āWe are thrilled to announce season two after only one week out and take viewers even farther into the surreal world of Fallout.”
It hasnāt been said whether series one stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten or Walton Goggins are returning for the second season yet, but theyāll almost certainly have something written in an arcane contract that says they have to come back for more Fallout if theyāre required to.

Creators Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner certainly seem excited about the seriesā reception. “Holy shit,ā the pair said in their own statement. āThank you to Jonah [Jonathan Nolan], Kilter [Films, the production company], Bethesda and Amazon for having the courage to make a show that gravely tackles all of society’s most serious problems these days ā cannibalism, incest, jello cake. More to come!”
A due date for Fallout season two hasnāt been announced yet, but given the VFX and general complexity of a sci-fi show such as this, itāll likely be a year or two away. Weāll keep you posted as we learn more.
