Fallout season 2 is heading to Prime Video in mid-December as the first trailer for the new season reveals.
For those of us who have been waiting for Fallout season 2, last night’s Gamescom event came with a nice little surprise. Prime Video showcased the first trailer for the videogame adaptation at the event – and boy, does it look good.

I don’t know about you, but I think that looks pretty excellent. Season 2 will take us to New Vegas, which gamers will surely be more than happy to visit. The new season will also dig deeper into Ghoul – aka Cooper Howard’s – backstory, particularly his relationship with Mr House, played by Justin Theroux. It’ll also give us more insight into how the devastating nuclear war began originally.
But perhaps the biggest surprise (and highlight) from the trailer is the reveal of the Deathclaw. Gamers and viewers have been waiting for the introduction of Fallout’s most deadly predator, and the trailer certainly shows the monster in detail. Something tells me we’re in for some very bloody episodes.
Season 1 of Fallout was well received by audiences and critics alike. The season currently holds an impressive score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, to vaguely give you the temperature of the room. Much praise went to Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins’ performances as Lucy and the Ghoul as well as the show’s overall worldbuilding.
In fact, Prime Video clearly has a lot of faith in the series, so much so that it’s already renewed Fallout for season 3.
So, when can we expect Fallout season 2 to be streaming on Prime Video? The trailer reveals the release date to be 17th December with episodes releasing weekly. Whether we’ll be getting a couple episodes at first (as we did with Alien: Earth) is still unclear, but hopefully Prime Video will bring us more information on that front soon.
