It’s a thrill to announce a brand new show to the Film Stories Podcast Network… The CineHistorians Podcast.
In this conversational and educational podcast, film lecturer Dr. Carl Sweeney, co-host of FS shows The Discourse and The Movie Palace, and film writer and historian Raquel Stecher, join forces to discuss film movements, different genres, specific filmmakers, and a whole lot more besides.
Sweeney says about the venture: “Raquel and I are both passionate about film history and this podcast is going to allow us to do some really deep dives. Really looking forward to people hearing what we’ve been working on.”
Stecher added: “I’ve enjoyed appearing on Carl’s Movie Palace Podcast over the years and it seemed natural that we would work on a podcast together. I hope The CineHistorians Podcast will encourage listeners to broaden their movie watching horizons and appreciate the history behind world cinema.”
The first season begins on Tuesday November 12th with an introductory episode with Carl and Raquel, before they begin their first season focus on New Wave cinema from the week after.
