Good Morning Midnight starts filming in Britain, with George Clooney at the helm.
Work is underway on George Clooney’s next film as director, an adaptation of the novel Good Morning Midnight.
The book was penned by Lily Brooks-Dalton, and it’s been adapted for the screen from Mark L Smith (whose recent credits include Overlord and The Hitman’s Bodyguard). It tells the story of a scientist alone in the Arctic, trying frantically to make contact with the crew of a spacecraft trying to return to the Earth.
Clooney will now only direct, but will also star in the feature. Joining him in the case if Felicity Jones, and production we now learn is underway in the UK. The bulk of the shoot will take place here, with further photography set for Iceland.
Netflix has backed the project, and whilst we don’t have a release date for it, the end of next year is a fair guess.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
