French filmmaker Fred China is looking to make a documentary that explores what went on behind the scenes of Tim Burton’s 1988’s cult classic, Beetlejuice.
The feature length film, entitled ‘Documentary For The Recently Deceased: The Making of Beetlejuice”, will explore all aspects of the film’s production along with exclusive interviews with cast and crew that China has amassed over the years. He also promises ‘never-before-scene archive footage, including stop-motion sequences digitised especially for the occasion.’
Fundraising is currently underway for the movie, with China seeking to raise $20,000 (£17,208). As of March 3rd, he’s currently about halfway to meeting his goal.
