Hilary Swank will headline a brand new action thriller called Nar, and the first details of the film have landed.
Two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is better known for her dramatic roles in the likes of Million Dollar Baby and Freedom Writers. Much like Allison Janney in the recently released Lou, Swank is swerving into action territory with a three lettered film in the form of Nar.
The plot will follow “a downed pilot, wounded and isolated deep in hostile territory, whose survival relies on trusting a stranger who claims to be part of a vast secret network designed to bring her to safety. N.A.R. (Non-conventional Assisted Recovery) is the name of an actual US Defence Department program”.
Swank will star as the pilot in question.
Greg Kwedar will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Clint Bentley. Welcome To The Jungle director Peter Berg will executive produce for Film 44.
Nar will begin filming later in 2023, which suggests a release date in 2024. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
