Introducing I Love You, Guys, a new short film that examines the trials and tribulations of being a young music sensation.

I Love You, Guys is one of the many exciting shorts on the way from UK independent Jumpcut Studios this year.

Written by Cory Varney, directed by Billie Rogan and produced by Jakob Lewis Barnes, the short follows Sky, “a damaged young pop star on the verge of super-stardom, and the brink of a breakdown, who must shake her demons before they derail her dreams and ruin the finale of her sellout tour”.

The film aims to examine the delicate bubble of being a young music sensation and how someone deals with the double-edged sword of pain and fame that comes with this privileged yet alienating pedestal. I Love You, Guys is going to be a poignant musical drama that pulls no punches in examining mental health in the music industry.

The goal for the team’s now-running crowdfunding campaign is to raise enough funds to cover a whole range of aspects in the production process, including, paying talent and crew, hiring the best possible equipment and securing exciting venues.

You can find a full breakdown of what your support will be going towards on the project’s Kickstarter page, that you can find here.

The estimated shoot date for I Love You, Guys is May 2020.

In the meantime, you can keep up to date with upcoming announcements, and tales from production via Twitter @ILYGthemovie or @JumpCut_Studios.
