Jack Black is reuniting with the Farrelly brothers for Christmas comedy Dear Santa, and details of the film have emerged.

2001’s Shallow Hal is a prime example of the Farrelly brothers near the knuckle comedy, albeit a film with a rather unpleasant mean streak which has attracted criticism in the years since its release.
Nevertheless, star Jack Black is repeating with the Farrellys – who are back together again for the first time in a long time – for Dear Santa, in which Black will portray the title character in a story which sees a boy accidently send his letter to Satan instead of Santa.
Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, newcomer Jaden Carson Baker, Kai Cech and Austin Post are also in the cast.
Bobby Farrelly will direct from a script he co-wrote with his brother Peter and Ricky Blitt, with the original idea by Dan Ewen.
Dear Santa currently has no release date although we would be surprised if it landed any time other than December.
