The Boys’ actor Jack Quaid is the latest addition to the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

Fresh off the success of the latest Scream film, Jack Quaid is now set to star in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Deadline reports. While it’s not known who he will be playing, Quaid is still an exciting addition to an already-packed cast. He joins Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Cillian Murphy. Murphy stars as the titular J. Robert Oppenheimer, a scientist who led the Manhattan Project which led to the creation of the atomic bomb.

The film is based on the novel American Prometheus: The Triumph And Tragedy Of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It’s set to hit theatres in the US on 21st July 2023, with a UK date not specified yet. Universal Pictures is handling the distribution.

Oppenheimer marks the sixth time Cillian Murphy and Christopher Nolan have collaborated, after he had roles in all three Dark Knight films, Inception, and Dunkirk. This is the first time that he has been cast as the lead, though.

Quaid is something of a rising star in both film and TV. He recently had a starring role in the latest Scream instalment, and plays the lead in Amazon Prime series The Boys. The show’s third season will stream on 3rd June this year. He’s also established himself as a voice actor, with roles in Star Trek: Lower Decks and the upcoming My Adventures With Superman.
