Guy Ritchie’s next film will be produced by Miramax and star Jake Gyllenhaal, according to reports.
Jake Gyllenhaal is one of those actors who can move through the gears really well, whether that’s bringing heavyweight acting chops to the likes of Brokeback Mountain or Prisoners, or simply adding class to lighter material like Spider-Man: Far From Home. He can currently be seen in the Antoine Fuqua-directed Netflix thriller, The Guilty, which is well worth a watch and on the streaming service now.
Gyllenhaal’s next film suggests he might be zigging back to lighter material for his next, with the news that he’ll be leading Guy Ritchie’s next project, after the director puts the finishing touches to Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre, which is currently in production. That film is going to be arriving in cinemas in January of 2022, with a packed cast including Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Hugh Grant, and looks like it should be wildly entertaining.
All we know as of yet is that the project has been written by Ritchie and will be produced by Miramax. Production is expected to begin at the end of this year. When we do hear more though, you’ll be the first to know.
