Big catalogue titles are set for the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format in 2020.
One of my favourite websites for the past two decades has been The Digital Bits, a diligent, hugely helpful site run by a man called Bill Hunt. In days of old it was the site where I got my DVD release info from, then Blu-ray, and now Bill continues to bang the drum for the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format.
It’s little secret that catalogue title announcements for the format have been in short supply the last month or two. And thus Bill has done some digging around, and found details of a host of new titles. I’d very much expect the bulk of these to make it to the UK too.
The headliners, expected this year? Jaws, Inglourious Basterds, Spartacus, Top Gun, Flash Gordon and Full Metal Jacket for a start, as well as quite possibly the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and Dune.
