Sequels to Saw, John Wick and The Hitman’s Bodyguard are all moved from 2020 to 2021 in the latest release date shake-up. The latest studio to jiggle its schedule around as the lockdown is Lionsgate, who has announced a delay to four features that had been planned for the next year or so. The most expected delay comes to John Wick 4, which had been scheduled for May 21st 2021. But given that the movie hadn’t started shooting yet, and was in the queue behind The Matrix 4 for Keanu Reeves’ time. The Matrix has halted production, and John Wick 4 moves now to May 27th 2022. If all had gone to plan, the new Saw film, Spiral, would have been in cinemas by now. But the Chris Rock-headlined movie has moved to May 21st 2021, whilst the upcoming sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard – that had been set for this August will now be with us in August 2021 instead. The same goes for the comedy Barb And Star Go To The Vista Del Mar, which had been due this July. That’s now arriving in July 2021. More on all of these as we hear it. We suspect the delays in film release dates aren’t done yet, either… — Thank you for visiting! If you’d like to support our attempts to make a non-clickbaity movie website: Follow Film Stories on Twitter here, and on Facebook here.
