M3gan was putting the chills into cinemagoers at the start of the year, and some early production artwork from 2018 has offered a different look at the character.

The first hit movie of 2023, M3gan, remains one of our favourites of the year thus far. Directed by Gerald Johnstone and written by Akela Cooper, the story of the companion doll that, er, ‘goes a bit rogue’ bit off a fair chunk of box office gold too.

There are many ingredients that contribute to the film’s success, but surely one of them is the terrific design of M3gan herself.

Jared Krichevsky is the person to congratulate there, and over the last day or so, he’s been offering a glimpse into the development of his creation. In particular, he’s been sharing some early visual of her on his Twitter account as to the early look of M3gan.

As he writes, he was working on visuals as far back as 2018, and has promised a few more glimpses going forward, too. Here’s what he’s posted so far.

Work is currently underway on M3gan 2, and thus Krichevsky is likely to be kept busy a little longer. Maybe a further sequel – M3gans – might be in order too…
