Neill Blomkamp’s fourth movie is set for release this summer – more details of Demonic can be found right this way.
It’s been over half a decade since filmmaker Neill Blomkamp made a feature. He’s certainly been busy with his Oats Studio project, but also since he made Chappie – his third feature – he’s been linked with new Alien and RoboCop stories, but neither came off for him.
Instead, he’s now directed his energies towards Demonic, a horror movie that he’s written too. It stars Carly Pop, Chris William Martin and Michael Rogers, and tells the story of a young woman who manages to unleash all sorts of supernatural unpleasantness when a rift between a mother and daughter is revealed.
The film has been secured for US distribution now as well, with IFC Midnight picking up the movie. It plans to release the film in August in the States, although we don’t know as of yet when the UK release is planned for. It’s been picked up by Signature Entertainment over here, so hopefully it’ll be around the same time.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
