The brand new trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two gives us a better look at new characters played by Austin Butler and Florence Pugh.

Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, playing Chani and Paul Atreides, respectively, also feature heavily in the trailer. After the Harkonnen army attacked his family in the first Dune, the sequel is set to see them pair up, alongside the mysterious Fremen people, to exact revenge on the militant Harkonnens.

Mostly present through mysterious visions in the first film, it seems that the romantic side of Paul and Chani’s relationship will also be more explored in Villeneuve’s follow-up. But they’ll have to balance their growing connection with the serious implications his fate, which seems wrapped up in the fate of the rest of the universe.

The trailer gives us our first proper look at Christopher Walken’s Emporer Shaddam IV and his daughter, Princess Irulan, who’s played by Florence Pugh. It also sees Chalamet fight Austin Butler, whose character, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, is the heir to the planet Arrakis.

Other new cast members include Léa Seydoux, Souheila Yacoub and Tim Blake Nelson. Returning for Dune Part 2 are Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard, among others.

Here’s the trailer:

Dune Part Two is released in cinemas on 3rd November.
